proof that David vs Goliath can happen in reality sometimes!

this pic was drawn entirely for my engine tests and inspections teacher, who is probably one of the biggest bullies i've encountered as a teacher since starting the aviation program at my school he does everything in his power to analyze what kind of person you are and then pushes all your wrong buttons as "motivation" once he's gotten you figured out (especially in lab when you arent working fast enough or to his expectations, cuz he seems to think making threats or button-pushing is gonna make somebody work faster or be more motivated...) yeah, there were a few separate occasions this semester where i almost had a nervous breakdown from the result of his bullying and intimidation (not to mention wanting to punch him in the face most of the time too >:3) thankfully cigarettes and bitching to other classmates who found him just as annoying as i did helped me through...never underestimate the stress-relieving power of nicotine and complaining!

but this guy is a director of maintenance for Southwest Airlines (hence why the knocked out plane is Southwest ) and is absolutely convinced any mechanic who doesnt want to go into the airlines for their career is crazy or stupid. i HAAATE the airlines...its a corporate wasteland of discrimination, stressful working conditions, horrible hours with horrible advancement (takes almost 15 years to get decent daytime hours for the airlines) and frankly if any of the leads, supervisors, or directors there are anything like my test and inspections teacher...i want absolutely fucking NOTHING to do with the airlines.

so yeah, this pic pretty much sums up our relationship and my attitude towards the airlines (i prefer general or corporate aviation...i like the idea of working on piston prop or small turbine/turbo-prop airplanes...the industry is a lot slower paced and more personable as well, plus as somebody who has been at rock bottom economically, money is not a temptation for me, in fact money is another stressor that can come with its own set of problems. there is a reason why they say money is the root of all evil...as long as i'm happy with what i'm doing (if i ever get the A&P that is ) then my teacher should be happy as well.

i know it sounds like i hate the guy from all of this but really i dont, cuz i push his buttons right back its like a "frenime" situation, he's a little bit of a friend, little bit of an enemy he's not a bad guy when you aren't his subordinate in the classroom or in the lab
